FOUR people have been arrested over a suspected plot to murder Barack Obama – but authorities are unsure whether they are genuine killers or just “knuckleheads”.
Local Denver television station CBS4 says three men and one woman are being held on either drugs or weapons charges and it is understood they have links to white supremist groups.
Senator Obama will give his acceptance speech on Friday Australian time on a football field before more than 75,000 supporters.
Denver is in lock-down with an enormous police and security presence as the city hosts the Democratic National Convention.
CBS4 said one of the arrested suspects had told authorites they were “going to shoot Obama from a vantage point … at 750 yards”.
Law enforcement sources told the station that one of the suspects was asked if he had “come to Denver to kill (Senator) Obama” and he “responded in the affirmative”. [more …]

Late last night after getting home, I checked the RSS news feeds from the Adelaide Advertiser’s website. One article that caught my eye was a mention in the RSS feed that “White Supremacist” groups were plotting to kill Black US presidential contender, Barack Hussein Obama. Checking the Home page of The Advertiser I found a link back to the story with the words “White Supremist” [sic] in it.
Knowing the predilection of both US and Australian government and media of jazzing up a story so the only thing the average person will take from it is that there is a neo-Nazi under every bed and the only way to escape from he the evil he represents is to embrace multiculturalism, vote KRudd or Obama, say “Sorry,” and pay reparations for White man’s sins against humanity and the eco system – I felt I had to respond.
Typical of US and Australian media. If a White man refuses to vote for Obama, it’s because he’s a racist, and if a White man is a complete nutter and wants to assassinate Obama, he’s a White supremacist. When a Black man votes for Obama simply because he’s Black, he is empowering himself, and when a Black man wants to assassinate George W, it’s entirely understandable. Can you smell the hypocrisy?
By this morning when I checked the latest news, all links to the story and headlines mentioning the terms “White Supremacist” or “White Supremist” [sic] had completely disapeared, and the comments section for that story was repleat with comments from readers concerned over Obama’s welfare “in a country full of white supremisist [sic] nut jobs” [Read all 11 comments].
But then, what would you expect from the media of a country full of multiculturalist nut jobs?
Cui bono?
